Dohun Lee believes cinematography is an odysseyβ€”an ever-evolving journey filled with encounters, challenges, and stories waiting to be captured.
Based in Seoul, South Korea, Lee earned his MFA in Cinematography at the Korea National University of Arts. He has since directed photography on feature and short films, commercials, and brand campaigns, while also gaining extensive experience on major international productions. His path has led him to collaborate with Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime, and brands such as Hermès, Louis Vuitton, KIA, and Hyundai, alongside visionary directors and artists across film, fashion, and music.
While continuing to grow his own body of work as a Director of Photography, Lee has also contributed as a camera operator and assistant camera on large-scale sets such as XO Kitty (Netflix), Butterfly (Amazon Prime), and K-Pops! (Anderson .Paak). These experiences have deepened his visual sensibility and strengthened his ability to navigate both independent filmmaking and global-scale productions.
For Lee, every project is another step in the Odysseyβ€”a chance to explore, to grow, and to bring audiences closer to the heart of a story.
